These 5 Amazing Blessings Belong to the Righteous

I love blessings.  God loves to give them.

The only caveat?  You need to love Him, honor Him, and serve Him.

You do?  Then, here are the 5 amazing blessings from Ps. 112:2-9:

1. CHILDREN:  “Your children will be mighty influencers in the earth” (v. 2)

Now, I’m listening!  There’s nothing I want more than for my children to love God the way I do.  

It goes one step further:  “Your children will be MIGHTY in the land.”  They will have amazing influence.  They will point thousands of people to Christ.  Their lives will be blessed. RECEIVE IT.

2. FINANCES:  “Wealth and riches will be in your house” (v. 3)

Finances are critical to our well-being.  If we put God first, serve Him, and love Him, He will take care of our financial needs.

We know this doesn’t mean we will have money to squander (God only blesses good stewards).  However, it simply means that you will have what you need to accomplish your purpose.

“There’s nothing I want more than for my children to love God the way I do. ”

3. RELATIONSHIPS:  “He is gracious, merciful, and righteous.”

Good relationships are priceless.  You can have all the money in the world but it won’t keep your marriage together.

Focus on grace, not rules.  Focus on mercy, not harshness.  Focus on generosity, not stinginess.  Focus on giving, not holding.

After all, you do want a few people at your funeral, right?  At least your family!

4. EMOTIONS:  “He is not afraid of bad news.  His heart is firm, trusting in the Lord.” (v. 7)

Many of us are on an emotional roller coaster.  The news cycle has us worried. Friends tell us we are looking pale.  Our company is handing out pink slips.

Trust in the Lord.  Relax.  Don’t fear bad news.  Throw it over your shoulder and keep going.

5. PURPOSE:  “He has given to the poor.”

A clear mission is a blessing!  They call it “fulfillment.” You feel as though you are making a difference.  You are exercising your gifts and talents to help others.

Your finances are abundant and plenteous.

Who would pass up a life like that?
