Here are four blessings of the mind of Christ

We have the mind of Christ” (1 Cor. 2:16).

What a statement!

The question is, “What does that mean?” It is a promise. What are we promised?

Are you presently confused by a difficult decision?

Do you have relationships right now that you don’t quite know how to navigate?

Are you assured that God will show you the answers to things you have no knowledge or experience in?

Here are Four things the “mind of Christ” promises to help you with:

1. It promises you WISDOM and not just INTELLIGENCE.

You can learn facts and still be confused in decisions.

Solomon demonstrated true wisdom when he told the two mothers they should “cut the baby in half.”  The real mother screamed, “No!” and the false mother said, “Yes, do it.”

Wisdom goes beyond facts to answers.

God showed Daniel the dream the king had and its meaning.

That is a word of Divine wisdom no human being could possibly know.  That correct answer for the king SAVED DANIEL’S LIFE.

The wisdom of the Spirit goes far beyond the natural mind.

2.  It promises you successful RELATIONSHIPS.

The “mind of Christ” is to think the way Christ did about His relationships with others.

He was humble.  He was a servant.  He never promoted himself.

Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus.” (Phil. 2: 5, ESV).

That passage goes on to speak of Christ humbling himself, taking on the form of a servant.

If anyone could have been proud, conceited, or demanding, it would have been Christ.  However, he walked in humility, service, and generosity.

Think that way. Jealousy, ambition, and strife are the “carnal, natural mind.”

If you are having relationship problems with someone, ask the Holy Spirit to give you the “mind of Christ” about that problem.

3.  It promises you perfect PRAYER.

We really don’t know how to pray.  Our prayers usually involve our thoughts about situations.

The Spirit helps us pray perfectly according to the mind of Christ:

And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God” (Rom. 8: 27)

Ask the Holy Spirit to pray through you the mind of Christ in Scripture verses and in our prayer language.

4. It promises us a perfect PERSPECTIVE.

If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.  Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth” (Colossians 3: 1-2)

We tend to think about everything from an earthly perspective.

How does your situation look from HEAVEN?

That’s the “mind of Christ.”

It’s going to be OK.

Jesus has conquered everything, including your problem.

To set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace” (Rom. 8:6).

Believe for the mind of Christ.

It’s a promise you can possess!
