Mega-joy and it’s power to bring a miracle
The angel said to the shepherd, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of GREAT JOY that will be for all the people…” (Luke 2: 10)
“Great joy” in Greek means “mega-joy!”
I have discovered a massive secret to miracles. It is “mega-rejoicing” before God.
The angels experience this joy in heaven. When we enter into it, we are positioning ourselves for a miracle.
What is “mega-joy?” It is “mega-rejoicing!”
Here are five ways that “rejoicing” will bring down the miracle-working power of God in your life:
1. I rejoice before I even feel like it.
Paul was in prison in Rome when he wrote these words: “Rejoice in the Lord always; and again I will say, Rejoice!” (Philippians 4:4).
You KNOW his emotions were not very positive in prison.
Paul said, “Rejoice.” That is an imperative statement.
To “rejoice” is a faith declaration from your spirit when your emotions don’t feel it!
God is watching you from heaven. It pleases Him that you continue to rejoice “in Him,” even when the situation has not changed.
Once, Paul was in prison in Philippi, and an earthquake sprung him out of jail while he was…REJOICING!
2. When I rejoice, I participate in heaven’s atmosphere.
Heaven is not sad. Angels continually rejoice around God’s throne. Joy is the atmosphere of heaven.
To rejoice here on earth is to act like they act in heaven! It expresses the victory and the hilarious exhilaration of God’s presence.
No wonder miracles begin to happen on earth when we rejoice. The Bible says that God himself even rejoices in heaven!
3. You rejoice the same way you do on earth.
Go to a football game where your home team scores the final field goal to win the game. No one has to TEACH people how to rejoice.
They clap their hands. They jump up and down. They shout as loud as their voices can yell.
No “rejoicing classes” are necessary.
I like to do that for God (as loud as I can in my house before everyone is awake!). If I can rejoice in the world, I can rejoice in the Lord.
4. Joy is spontaneous when you get good news.
I remember the morning I went for a doctor's visit, and the nurse told me that my blood count was high enough not to need the twice-weekly blood transfusion I was receiving.
Melanie and I left the clinic, and when we got in our car, we let out a “war whoop” shout to God! It was a shout of victory.
I have not had a transfusion since.
Rejoice BEFORE the miracle…and rejoice AFTER the miracle!
5. Joy is the language of faith.
When I rejoice, I am talking God’s language.
I agree with Him that my situation is not impossible.
I don’t look at the circumstances or listen to everyone else’s opinion.
I delight myself in His promise.
Practice “mega-joy.” Sing in the darkness. Laugh at your enemy.
“Rejoicing” is your greatest weapon in releasing your miracle!
