Where will it be held? 

You will be staying at the Timothy Retreat Center, 13709 Oak Bend Dr, Baker, LA 70714

The closest airport to the Timothy Retreat Center (TRC) is Baton Rouge Metro Airport-BTR. It is a 10-minute drive. You can also fly into the brand new Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport-MSY and rent a car. The drive is about 1 ½ hours from the MSY airport to the Timothy Retreat Center.

You will share a room with one other participant. Your room will have new bed linens and towels. The only difference from a hotel is that there will not be daily housekeeping during your stay. For any onsite assistance, call Carl Everett. If you would like to stay at a hotel on your own expense we can refer you to one.

There is a utility room with a iron board and extra towles at the TRC for you to help yourself if needed.

What will the schedule be like?  

Please plan to arrive on Monday evening before the cohort begins. You can rent a car or request pickup by sending your arrival and departure times to Carl Everett and he will make arrangements to have you picked up from the Baton Rouge airport (complimentary pick up not available at New Orleans airport).

There will be light food options available onsite on Monday night. Sessions will begin on Tuesday morning with breakfast served in the TRC lodge at 8am. The final session will conclude at 4pm on Thursday so you are welcome to leave directly afterward. If your flight leaves Friday, you are welcome to stay Thursday night at no extra cost. 

Typical Daily Schedule Tues, Wed, and Thurs

• 8am - Breakfast in TRC Lodge

• 9am - Session 1, Small Group, Session 2, Small Groups until Lunch

• 12pm - Lunch provided

• 1pm - Session 3, Small Group, Session 4, Small Groups until Break

• 4pm - Rest/Break

• 5pm - Dinner provided (no dinner on Thursday night)

• Tuesday nextworking night & Wednesday and Thursday are free Evenings

What should I bring and wear? 

Check the weather before leaving. Remember, Baton Rouge is the sunbelt and can be humid and rainy--although the meeting space will be cool and comfortable. There is no formal dress code, but please no shorts. Bring workouts clothes and shoes as there are many places to walk and exercise.

Bring your laptop, tablet, notebook, or whatever else you prefer to take notes with. You will be seated at a table with other participants. 

How should I prepare? 

Come ready to receive with an open heart. Please inform your team and those dependent on you that you will be unavailable during the day while sessions are meeting. It’s best if you can completely disconnect for the three days and use the time to reflect and commune with God uninterrupted. Wifi and cell service is available. 

What else should I expect? 

The sessions will be video recorded. By attending the sessions, you agree to release the rights to Pastors University to use your likeness in the recordings in the event that they are distributed or used for promotional or resale purposes. For example, Pastor Larry intends to create an online course version of Pastors University from the recordings to equip pastors around the world.
