How To Look At Problems With The Amazing Eyes Of Your Heart

Which eyes are you looking at your problems with: your natural eyes or the eyes of your heart?

Your heart (your spirit) has eyes also.  The secret of overcoming every problems is training yourself to look from a different perspective.

Are you going through a storm right now?  How you SEE it is everything.  Which eyes you are looking at it through?  It will make the difference in overcoming it.

Here are some thoughts about “heart eyes”:

  1. Keep your heart eyes fastened on the Lord.

Jehoshaphat was surrounded by three massive armies.  In desperation, he called a fast of the entire nation.  I often remind myself of his statement:  “For we are powerless against this great horde that is coming against us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you” (2 Chron. 20:12)

His natural eyes could see his “predicament.”  His heart eyes saw his “power.”

King Jehoshaphat set some singers in FRONT of the army, some people who had their eyes totally on the Lord.  As they praised, the Lord sent confusion into all three enemy armies and they annihilated each other!

  2. See heaven’s armies behind earth’s enemies.

Elisha woke up one morning surrounded by a massive army sent to destroy him.  His servant panicked when he saw them.  Then, Elisha prayed this prayer:

O Lord, please open his eyes that he may see.” So the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.” (2 Kings 6:17)

Stop looking at those against you; look at those who are FOR YOU.  God’s “invisible” angels surround you at all times to put to your “visible” enemies to flight!

  3. Endurance comes by looking at the invisible Christ.

Christ is not here.  He is seated on the throne in the invisible world.  We know that by His Word.

In a storm, it’s easy to take your eyes off of Christ and put them back on to the storm.  Peter was walking on water as long as he looked at Christ.  When he looked at the waves and wind, he began to sink.

Moses “endured as seeing Him who is invisible” (Heb. 11: 27).

Christ has conquered!  All power in heaven and hell is under His feet!  Stare at Him with your “heart eyes.”  Worship Him as you see Him exalted over your circumstances.

Why not do that right now?

Close your natural eyes.  Sit quietly and let the “eyes of your heart” drift upward toward the throne of God.

See Jesus sitting there, “high and lifted up.”  See the angels worshipping Him.  Open your mouth and begin to praise and thank Him that He is ON YOUR SIDE.  He is your Great High Priest, the exalted King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

When you open your natural eyes, your earthly problem seems far smaller than Him!
