These five areas need a breakthrough in 2024

I don’t know about you, but 2023 has been a battle.  I can think of five specific areas where we all need a breakthrough.

How about you?  Your life, your family, your ministry, your finances?

Instead of New Year’s resolutions, why not have New Year’s REVOLUTIONS?!

God is the Miracle Worker.  He is “able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us….” (Ephesians 3: 20, ESV.)

As I look from the first day and first week of 2024, Here are the five areas I am specifically asking the Lord for a breakthrough in  the body of Christ:

1. Relational:  Families that reconcile

There is nothing worse than a big old feud.  People get upset over money, Christmas meals, vacations, etc.

The problem is that the issues are still there after a few months or even years. 

It’s time’s up for those “squatters” of division.  It’s not worth it.  Time is moving on, and precious days together are lost because of offense.

Only a supernatural, miracle reconciliation can heal some old wounds.  Ask God right now for a “family healing” in your family.

2. Spiritual:  Focus on Jesus 

I have decided that this year, my spiritual focus will be on JESUS, the Son of God, the “Pre-eminent One.”

He is God the Father’s focus.  

He is the CREATOR, the HEAD of the church, the coming KING who will judge the world.  He is my SAVIOR, my HEALER, my DELIVERER, my PRESENT HELP, and my PROVIDER.

I want to know Him, pursue Him, and worship Him.  I want to be more “Mary” than “Martha.”

3. Physical:  Freedom from bondage

Along with my focus on Jesus, I am focused on His miracle power.

He healed the woman who was bent over for 18 years.  He set free the demoniac, who had 6000 demons inside him.

He is the “same yesterday, today, and forever” (Heb. 13:8).

He can free us from any disease, habit, or bondage this year.

4.  Financial:  Finances that simplify

With the rise in inflation in 2023, many faced a personal financial crisis.  

Our personal debt and credit credit cards have gotten out of hand.  It’s time to “simplify.”

Pay things off this year.  Save instead of spend.  Believe God for “extra” to pay off bills and debt.  Sow significant “seeds” of love to others in need.

Determine that your finances will become easy, simple, and abundant in 2024.

5. Political:  Freedom from confusion

Of course, 2024 is an election year.  The drama has already moved into high gear.

I am asking the Lord for freedom from confusion, strife, and hostility in the political realm in 2024.

There is a very civil way to dialogue about issues without dividing ourselves from each other.

I love you and don’t have to know who you pull the lever for in an election to qualify that love.

Let’s believe together in those five breakthroughs in 2024!
