These Four Statements Will Bring Down Your Personal Goliath

Your speech to your giant matters.

We know that David was very good with a sling. However, it was his speech that started the miracle in motion.

EVERY GIANT talks “smack.”  They declare that you are tiny and insignificant.  They may curse you and dare you.

Words matter.

Your words matter.  You have to know how to address your giant in order to defeat it.

Here are four statements that win the battle before you ever throw the first rock…

1. “I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts.”

This first statement was a big one.

He said to Goliath that his weapons were only NATURAL:  a “spear, sword, and javelin.”

David’s weapons, though physical, were guided by the SUPERNATURAL.

We may be fighting a real giant in the natural world but our weapons are supernatural.  

Our weapons are the Word of God, the blood of Christ, and the name of Jesus.

Even a giant can’t stop our weapons!

2. “THIS DAY the Lord will deliver you into my hands and I will strike your head from you.”

It’s almost like David knew the outcome of this battle before it even started.

HE DID.

Your giant is already defeated.  We already know the outcome of every battle.  Christ has already defeated Satan and we are just enforcing that victory.

He WILL deliver him into our hands (like it’s over).  Quit thinking your Goliath will win.  He won’t. And it’s going to happen TODAY.

3. “All the earth will know that there is a God in Israel...”

David was fighting this giant for the glory of the God of Israel.  He wanted God to be praised by Israel’s army, the nation, and even nations around the world.

WHY do you want to win this battle? The one acceptable reason is, “I want God Almighty to be glorified.

You want to give your testimony to all the nations of what God has done for you and through you.

4. “The battle is the Lord’s and He will give you into our hand.”

Goliath was facing the God of the universe. It’s not your fight.  It’s God’s fight.

It’s not even close!

Satan is not a “close second” to God.  He was thrown out of heaven like a bolt of lightning. Christ totally defeated Satan in those three days Christ’s body was in the grave.

Turn your Goliath over to the All-powerful, Almighty, Undefeatable, Consuming Fire.

No chance.  No contest.  It’s over before it begins. “The battle is the Lord’s.”

Speak these statements to your giant:

• “My weapons are SUPERNATURAL.”

• “I am 100% ASSURED of the outcome of this battle.”

• “I will remember this moment for the rest of my life as I come through victorious.”

• “The battle is the Lord’s, not mine.”

Talk to your giant.  Address him as his superior.  Take your supernatural weapons and run to the battle!
